Southview Child Care Location

• Southview Child Care (SCC) is located in First Mennonite Church, which is on a service road parallel to 91 Street and on the west side of the street (enter the service road a block south of the church building).
• The day care space is in the lower level of the building, with its own ground-level entry through the playground.
• Many windows make interior space bright. The facility is well designed for early learning and care services, and is completely handicap accessible.
• The church is located on several acres of land that includes a grassy field and a grove of trees.
• The early learning and care programs use additional church facilities, including a gymnasium, during extremely cold or rainy weather.
• Just outside the day care entrance is a spacious playground. It is fenced, with climbing apparatus, slides, a sand floor, and more space than required by the City of Edmonton for day cares.
• Playground equipment was purchased from and constructed by Sunshine Playgrounds. Funds for the playground project were graciously provided by the Clifford E. Lee Foundation and by the Edmonton Community Foundation.
